The Most Common Mistakes When Creating a Repeat Pattern and How To Fix Them

You have discovered surface pattern design, you have completely fallen in love with it and you have started creating repeat patterns. All is going smoothly until one day your pattern will just refuse to work!

I have been there and it's a very frustrating situation; no matter what you try, Adobe Illustrator seems to refuse to collaborate!

That is why I have created this class. I want to help beginner surface pattern designers tackle and solve some of the most common errors and problems that come up time and time again when building repeat patterns.

In this class I will show you how to solve problems such as cut off motifs, the checkerboard effect, grid lines that appear in your pattern, the elusive line that is not actually there, and more...There is also a bonus class on how to resize your patterns!

When you finish the class you will have knowledge of many of the problems you might face when building a pattern and, most importantly, how to fix them!

For this class you’ll just need Adobe Illustrator.
